Job Description

What you will do
As Product Engineer you are responsible for all aspects and daily functions of product development and engineering. You will be involved in factory and supplier relations, engineering, product documentation, applications, product development, and regulatory code compliance.


How you will do it

•Assist with Ductless (VRF/DFS) product leadership and marketing in terms of product strategy, management, engineering, and support.
•Perform analysis and development of opportunities for products, services, and software to provide JCI with a competitive advantage for Ductless products in the North American market.
•Gather and analyze competitive market information.
•Support the specification and development of new products/accessories in-line with Johnson Controls' overall product strategy.
•Support the technical aspect of Johnson Controls' launch process for Ductless products in North America.
•Lead the Ductless product certification and testing process including all interaction with respect to product development, testing, and local code issues.
•Ensure timely and effective product information flow within the organization.
•Provide third-line technical support and key customer support as required.
•Manage all aspects of the business relationship with key product suppliers.
•Establish and maintain key relationships with industry influencers and strategic partners to increase market visibility.
•Participate in key national associations such as AHRI, ASHRAE, ACCA, NHAW, MCCA, and HARDI.

Job Requirements

What we look for
•Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College or University, preferably in Engineering
•A minimum of 5 years’ relevant post-education experience in engineering and product development within HVAC/Mechanical environment
•Business and management skills
•Proficiency in managing multitask projects
•Excellent interpersonal skills
•Advanced-level skills with Microsoft Office
•Must be willing to travel up to 20% domestic

•VRF / Ductless experience preferred
