Job Description

What you will do
  • Lead early engagement activities for the targeted retrofit projects and build strong relationships with building owners to influence the (tender) specifications and position Johnson Controls favorably to secure the HVAC, BMS, Fire & also Security retrofit projects.
  • Manage the project management team in delivering successful retrofit project implementation to meet the project & financial KPIs, supported by a strong eco-system of quality sub-contractors and also ensuring timely project revenue recognition & invoicing without compromising on the EHS requirements.
  • Keep a regular pulse check, understand & analyze the market trends, opportunities, legislation, customer needs and competition to determine and implement innovative retrofit growth strategies to increase market penetration, secure orders and maximize margin. 

How you will do it
  • Formulate and implement the retrofit business plan to support its business growth goals and objectives
  • Responsible for the overall development and management of key building owner relationship, particularly at the decision maker level of their organizations to bring in retrofit sales opportunities.
  • Actively identify as well as direct retrofit sales strategies to secure new retrofit businesses based on analysis of business opportunities and market trends.
  • Serve as a member of the Services Leadership Team to continuously review and innovate HVAC, Controls, Fire & Security Solution Offerings to capitalize on the evolving customer needs, market trends, competition and legislative changes to achieve the retrofit leadership position.
  • Ensure regular updates/engagement of key building owners on enhanced retrofit solution offerings.
  • Support market analysis and strategies formulation, including assist in the identification of high potential market segments and key customers, participate in retrofit sales activities, collect voice of the customer and recommend for improvements.
  • Coach the retrofit project team members to ensure that their conducts conform to our JC’s Values, and ensuring discipline in project management through embracing the best practice processes for each project.
  • Ensure the project team conduct detailed planning for each retrofit project prior to implementation through proper processes including establish Project Brief with Key Performance Indicators, chair Project Kick Off Meeting, regular follow-up project meetings, milestone progress tracking, issues resolution, documentations, clear accountability for each task, etc.
  • Conduct regular reviews of retrofit project and financial performance (including cost, profitability, billing, & unbilled receivables) for each project with the project engineers to benchmark against established Key Performance Indicators and to proactive secured Variation Orders and address critical issues.
  • Ensure all installation works conform to retrofit project specifications, contractual terms & conditions and EHS requirements. 
  • Evaluate, appoint and regularly audit suppliers and sub-contractors to ensure they qualify and can meet our retrofit project specifications and EHS requirements.
  • Support the cross-selling of integrated building service solutions at targeted opportunities as assigned
  • Provide timely feedback and reports to management to demonstrate retrofit business progress
  • In addition to the above mentioned tasks, other activities and responsibilities may be individually assigned.

Job Requirements

What we look for
  • Diploma or Bachelor degree in Engineering, Sales & Marketing, or related field
  • Minimum 8 years relevant experience with at least 5 years of sales management experience and direct sales experience, and familiar with HVAC, Controls, Fire & Security related industries
  • Prior working experience in Thailand. Confident working in a multinational, matrix driven organization
  • Flexible in adapting to different cultures, excellent at leading & developing diverse service & project teams and driving accountability
  • Fully proficient in oral and written command of English & Thai.
